Our Story

Although all are welcome here, I was inspired to create this sacred space for exhausted educators who were ready to embrace ease.

Welcome! I'm Kellyn, the creator and owner of Embracing Ease with Yoga. As a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) and Social and Emotional Learning-S.E.L Facilitator, I’m excited to share my journey with yoga and how I got here. I've worked in the field of education for many years and found over time yoga helped me to develop not only into a better human, but honestly, a better educator overall.

After several attempts at trying to incorporate yoga into my own preschool classroom, and even into my own young children’s weekly routines as they were growing. I knew yoga was something I couldn’t shake. Focused on my own self-care, I became interested in Restorative Yoga, Meditation and Sound Baths. After even more of a focus on self-care, I was beginning to love the person I was becoming. But, I knew I wanted to dig deeper into what yoga could do for others, including teachers, who were already burnt out pre-2020.

I continued taking in-person classes off and on for years. After reading more and increasing my understanding of yoga philosophy. I was trained in Restorative and Yin Yoga. I also became a certified yoga teacher through Breathe for Change. A program I thought was a dream, as it was an entire yoga teacher training program dedicated to educators and education professionals. It was what I had been looking for all along. Fast forward, after almost nine months of training, I came to the end of my yoga teacher training ready to inspire others. I had also overcome some serious health issues and familial loss throughout this journey. Now, I was ready to take everything I had learned and turn it around by helping educators embrace ease through mindfulness, meditation, and yoga. Tools that helped me through some of my lowest times.

Now, here we are today. The journey is not over, if anything it’s just starting. As I continue to support educators on their journey to embracing ease. I’ve found from class and workshop feedback that creating community is essential to helping educators focus on their social/emotional learning and overall well-being. So again, welcome to our virtual studio and online community. The start of something life-changing.

“Organized, great vibes, great techniques.”
